Thank you for posting this. I spent all of my paper route money at this arcade and the arcade a few stores up in the early to late 80's . I believe upstairs had two pool tables. Unsure if there is any extra footage from the film to post. I'm gob smacked seeing this. I used to spend all day along this strip. From Star Records/ Jackson Square/ Woolco's / Woolworths/ down to Rave Records and back for a burg at Christophers shown in this film. Plus the Century 21 building as it was called then. This is unbelievable. Thank you.

My #1 favorite film composer. I remember as a 16 year old hearing this at the theater and was blown away! You can hear references from the great classical composer Edgar Varese's "Arcana". Stylistically, it's basically the same type of orchestrations and tensions. All composers 'borrow' and some outright 'steal'!

I did not realize till years later that this was the first stalker film I watched. He was so meticulous in his plan and keeping his victim. Now why I despised him: he was an example of classic Freudian projection. He dislikes her (I hate this expression) la-di-da ways. No not hers, he was the one with a superior attitude and entitlement. He is completely obvious to the fact that he has created a very serious crime and is interfering completely with someone's life that he has no right to do. His attitude of entitlement in taking what he wants was insufferable.

Neil Diamond is a gift from God. His music is so real, so artistic, so full of meaning and feelings. I was still in high school when I heard his first song, Solitary Man. I was 19, sitting in a concert when he sang, he said it was for the first time 'I Am... I Said.' That song is the most powerful song! I felt the impact in every cell of my body and I couldn't believe that he knew exactly how I felt! I was lost, alone, and lonely, and that gorgeous man felt the same way! You KNEW it was a song written about himself, and yet, it was a song about me, too. I'll never forget that night. That song and his other music, affect me to this day, May 2, 2024. I'm 72 now. I feel his pain, his happiness. Whatever he writes and sings, I feel it. My favorite will always be 'I Am... I Said.' Thank you Neil Diamond, for understanding me and my lonely soul! 💎🌹❤️

i think the film was mesmerizing. and scary as all get out!! - suspenseful -- dripping with raw neuroticism. the performances were fantastic! evidently wyler used the emotional starkness to make the actors dig deeper to bring out the undercurrent of a kind of slow motion mounting panic from a grievous violation that really builds up to real horrifying violence. and then shows the man's character turning into an unfulfilled monster demanding a repeat. this film stuck with me because it is like a case study of segments of the human condition. unforgettable......

Eddie Murphy was 15 and tried and admittedly got lucky with SNL with an unheard of cattle-call, and Jim Carrey sucked at 15 left - returned at 17, Rodney Dangerfield gave him a break - I WAS 13!!!! Grade 8 grad! The three youngest ever!!! I turned pro at 16.
